10. He's Just Not That Into You: It may seem trivial that this dumb book made this list but um like it has saved my life and my brain 100000 times and that is something to be thankful for. Well not that many because that makes me sound sort of like a whore. But seriously, read this book. When you are sad, or when you are mad, or don't know whats going on, this book does. Genius really.
9. Being Forever Young: I may act immature, and what not but I wouldn't have it any other way. Like, I would rather have fun doing anything than growing up and seeing the world and realizing its as depressing as everyone says. I like to see the good in people even though it may hurt me in the end. I would rather buy candy than groceries. I would rather play on the play ground than sit at a park. Life is about having fun, and I'm having as much fun for as long as I can.
8. Funny People: I love people who make me laugh, and those people who are lucky enough to be more funny than I am, I am thankful for you.
7. Holiday decorations: There is something about christmas lights, christmas trees, music, everything that just leads me too it. This time of year is my favorite, and I become even more immature around christmas decorations. I'll drive out of my way to see them, I'll walk any where to see them. I'll go to any holiday extravaganza. I LOVE it. Like, get me a starbucks red cup and you are on your way to making me love you forever.
6. My friends: This group of people that came together, that actually all had something in common made all my experiences what they are. Some stuck around for the long haul, and others were fleeting friendships, but they all added up to a friendship of a lifetime.
5. Austin, TX: Being here has changed me. The people I've met and the experiences I have had, have made me both bitter and happy. I love it here. I've had some of the best times of my life here, and I'm not sure I would change anything about it.
4. Working at Front Steps: Working with the homeless population of Austin, has given me a deeper understanding of what it is like to be alone, scared, and down on your luck. Some of the men I have met there have changed me for the better. They have taught me patience, kindness, and that everyone deserves a smile sometimes. Working there has also changed my views on homelessness in general and it has given me much needed information to change the world. It has taught me that even the toughest person can have a can heart if you take 3 minutes out of your day to brighten theirs. I have been frustrated, broken, and lost working there but I wouldn't change a thing. I am thankful that I am one of the people that can help these guys get back to good and hopeful times.
3. Kandace Tyler: This bitch. HAHAHAHA just kidding. This girl has been my friend for what seems like literally forever. And anyone that can stand me that long deserves an award. She always answers any phone call, at any time of the day. She keeps me grounded. She lets me know that I can do better, and that I can do anything. She is the best girl in the whole world.
2. Gretchen Beckert: This girl. You know that quote, "Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates, and boys are just people to have fun with" is the truest thing in the whole world. She is my best friend, my sister, and my soul mate. She knows everything about me, and still sticks around. Every time I mess up, shes sticks around too. She is hilarious and makes me laugh everyday. Rooming with her four years ago, was the smartest thing I've ever done. I've never met someone as nice, genuine, and amazing as her.
1. My family: They are the only people that have ever been here for me through anything. When I'm being bitchy, they're still here. When I'm being funny, they laugh at me. When I'm sad, they answer their phone calls. When I'm happy, they are happy too. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to spend my life with.
Happy Thanksgiving ya'll.
Also, this is as much as you ever will, or want too, have to read like ever on this blog. hahaha
